Con Heiress is the eighth episode of the 17th season of the animated comedy series Family Guy.

Plot

Stewie and Brian compete for the inheritance of a wealthy, older heiress. Meanwhile, Peter and Chris battle for Mr. Herbert's affection.

Why It Sucks

  1. Elephant out of the room - the part with Pip's real name.
    • Doesn't help this name thing is done thrice in the episode. Furthermore, each time the joke is done the name takes 45 seconds to completely run through.
      • If you add the time up, that amounts to about 2 minutes and 15 seconds lost just so they can say some long name.
  2. It's another Brian dating episode.
    • The reason Brian's doing this is for his own greed, much like in other episodes with this recycled plot.
  3. This episode literally only exists to further show how much Brian and Stewie had usurped the entire show.
  4. The subplot isn't very funny; it's similar to The Courtship of Stewie's Father, but without the fun.
    • We get a lousy song number by Herbert that goes on for a little too long.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Herbert dies, although he just comes back as a plant.
  2. To some extent, the ending was kind of clever.

Reception

  • The episode received negative reviews, with a score of 5.6 on IMDB.
  • PhantomStrider reviewed this episode as the 4th worst modern Family Guy episode.
